Does this work in the Codex app and IDE extension?
Yes. They read the same ~/.codex/config.toml as the CLI.

You need a Hey Tasky workspace with at least one social account connected. Connect X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Mastodon, or another network in Hey Tasky first, so Codex has somewhere to post.
Run this, or add the same entry to ~/.codex/config.toml, which the CLI, app, and IDE extension share.
codex mcp add heytasky --url https://mcp.heytasky.com/mcp Run the login command and approve access in the browser.
codex mcp login heytasky Ask Codex which Hey Tasky accounts it can post to.
These are the tools Hey Tasky's MCP server gives Codex. Ask for a draft when you want to read a post before it goes out; a scheduled post publishes on its own at the time you set.
