How to post to social media from Meta Muse

Muse doesn't have a Hey Tasky button yet, but it can build its own connectors. Ask it to create one for Hey Tasky's server and Muse can draft and schedule posts on your accounts from the app or WhatsApp.

Setup

Connect Muse in 4 steps

You need a Hey Tasky workspace with at least one social account connected. Connect X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Mastodon, or another network in Hey Tasky first, so Muse has somewhere to post.

  1. Check Connectors first

Open Muse, go to Settings, then Connectors. If Hey Tasky appears in the list, add it there. If it doesn't, continue: Meta's help center says to ask Muse to create a Custom Connector for services it doesn't list.

  2. Ask Muse to build the connector

Send Muse this message, with the server URL below:

"Create a custom connector for Hey Tasky. It is an MCP server at https://mcp.heytasky.com/mcp and uses OAuth sign-in."

    https://mcp.heytasky.com/mcp
  3. Approve the sign-in

Open the sign-in link Muse sends, sign in to Hey Tasky, and approve access. If Muse asks for a key instead, create one in Hey Tasky under Settings, Developers and enter it through Muse's secure credential prompt, never in the chat.

  4. Check it works

Ask Muse which Hey Tasky accounts it can post to. It should list the accounts connected in your workspace.

Things to ask Muse

  • "Draft an Instagram caption and a LinkedIn post about the photos I sent you, and save both to Hey Tasky as drafts."
  • "Schedule tomorrow's post for 9am and remind me when it goes live."
  • "What did my posts this week get for likes and replies?"
Capabilities

What Muse can do in Hey Tasky

These are the tools Hey Tasky's MCP server gives Muse. Ask for a draft when you want to read a post before it goes out; a scheduled post publishes on its own at the time you set.

list_channels
Lists the accounts connected to your workspace, with the ids the agent needs to target them.
list_social_sets
Lists your social sets, such as one brand across X and Threads, so you can say "post this to my text list".
create_post
Saves a draft you review and schedule later in Hey Tasky. Nothing is published.
schedule_post
Schedules a post to one or more channels at an exact time. Hey Tasky publishes it automatically.
get_queue
Reads what is scheduled, published, or failed.
get_post_results
Returns impressions, likes, replies, reposts, and quotes for published posts, where the network reports them.
list_replies
Pulls replies to your posts, sorted into leads, questions, and praise.
get_best_times
Suggests weekday and hour slots from how your posts performed over the last 90 days.
get_account
Confirms which workspace and timezone the agent is working in.
Good to know

Before you rely on it

  • Ask for drafts until you trust the setup. A draft waits in Hey Tasky for you; a scheduled post publishes on its own at the time you set.
  • Meta doesn't document MCP by name and doesn't review custom connectors. Muse writes the connector itself, so if the first attempt fails, ask it to retry using the MCP server URL above.
  • Using Muse Code in the terminal instead? Add Hey Tasky to ~/.config/muse/settings.json under mcp_servers with transport streamable_http and the URL above, then run muse mcp login heytasky.
FAQ

Muse and Hey Tasky questions

Is Hey Tasky in the Muse connector directory?

Not yet. Until it is, ask Muse to create a custom connector with the Hey Tasky server URL, as shown above.

Can I use Muse from WhatsApp to post?

Yes. Once the connector exists on your Muse account, you can ask Muse to draft or schedule posts from any place you talk to it, including WhatsApp.

Where should my API key go?

Only into Muse's secure credential prompt. Meta keeps those keys in its Secure Credentials Store. Never paste a key into a chat message.

How do I connect Muse Code?

In ~/.config/muse/settings.json, add a heytasky entry under mcp_servers with "transport": "streamable_http" and "url": "https://mcp.heytasky.com/mcp", then run muse mcp login heytasky to sign in.
